The ZAZ Festival for performance art is a unique initiative in Israel. NIPAF (Nippon International Performance Art Festival) started in 1993 in Nagano, as first international performance art festival in Asia. Director, Seiji Shimoda is internationally well known artist, and some other Japanese artists in several cities are working now for NIPAF as non profit artists organization. The annual International Festival of Contemporary Arts - City of Women takes place at the beginning of October. Each year it invites between forty and sixty women artists and intellectuals, as well as attracts some six- to seven-thousand visitors from all walks of life. Since ist institution, the City of Women Festival has welcomed over four hundred artists and academics from all over the world, ranging from the emerging to the pre-eminent. In establishing liaisons with many different institutional and alternative venues in the city of Ljubljana, Slovenia and abroad, the Festival enjoys wide media exposure, while Slovenia's premier national cultural centre, Cankarjev Dom, has acted as co-producer for the past decade. Co-ordinated by Sabina Potocki, most of those involved in ist organisation are freelance cultural workers.

ACT ART is an annual interdisciplinary art event which takes place annually.
ACT ART aims to create an event where artists can show their work in a different context to the gallery system, with a particular emphasis on new emerging artists showing their work alongside more established artists.
